Communication support workers needed
The Division of Language and Communication Science (LCS) at City University London is advertising for Communication Support Workers (CSWs) to join the EVA project. The project is developing a virtual communication environment for people with aphasia, and evaluating the benefits of that environment with 20 participants.
The CSWs will enter the virtual world via an avatar and will interact with the participants with aphasia. For example, they may play the role of a party guest, or a plumber who has come to fix the boiler in a virtual house.
Post holders will receive training and will be supervised by a speech and language therapy researcher. They will also work closely with a Human Computer Interaction researcher.
We invite you to submit a CV and personal statement (max 400 words) answering the following questions:
- What attracts you to this post?
- What are the challenges and how will you meet these?
Please respond to eva@city.ac.uk
